Tanya Flores

Tanya Flores is a teacher from New Mexico with a Master’s Degree in Multicultural Education from the University of New Mexico. She specializes in teaching English language learners. For the past 17 years, she has taught a mix of science, mathematics, business, and English language development in elementary, middle, and high school. She has presented at the national and local conferences of the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), is a grant recipient from Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP), National Board of Certified Teachers (NBCT), and National Science Teachers Association, as well as serving as a Museum Fellow with the New Mexico Museum of Natural History. Tanya is GLAD certified and also a trainer for Behavioral Management in the Classroom Community. As a published education writer and curriculum development specialist she is ever ready for the next adventure to further develop this cadre of educational resources. Tanya considers her involvement with the TERC association and collaboration with her co-authors who she met in the Maine 2022 cohort, as the pinnacle experience of her career.
