Kate’s Story

Kate Blaske graduated from Purdue University with a BS in chemistry and a master’s degree in chemical education. Throughout her 20-year education career, she has taught high school, advanced placement, dual credit, and college courses as well as developing place-based science curricula for Indiana homeschool students and providing private tutoring services. She spent two years developing and promoting STEM education policy and programs at the Indiana Department of Education. She now is an independent STEM educational consultant for her own firm, Blaske Consulting.

Kate, a member of the 2004 Knowles cohort, worked on the team that originated the idea of a journal for teacher storytelling in 2014. She was also co-editor-in-chief of Kaleidoscope from 2016-2018.
