We are excited to announce our all-new online short courses. Led by experienced teachers, Knowles Academy short courses are designed to improve mathematics and science teaching and learning. The number of participants in these courses is capped so that participants can engage in discussions with the instructors and other participants as they explore new tools and strategies to use in their classrooms to increase student engagement.

In this course, teachers will learn to differentiate their engineering design instruction using a continuum of student-centricity and complexity.

Rev Up Your Engineering Integration with the Knowles Project Complexity Rubric

Providing student choice can be hard when integrating engineering design in math and science. In this course, teachers will look at several examples of integrated-STEM instruction on a continuum of student-centricity and complexity. Teachers will use the Knowles Project Complexity Rubric to consider modifications to the examples and to their own engineering-oriented math and science instruction.

Teachers who attend this course will leave with a great tool and lots of engineering-design instruction ideas for use in math and science content classes.
