We are excited to announce our all-new online short courses. Led by experienced teachers, Knowles Academy short courses are designed to improve mathematics and science teaching and learning. The number of participants in these courses is capped so that participants can engage in discussions with the instructors and other participants as they explore new tools and strategies to use in their classrooms to increase student engagement.

In this course, teachers will explore a physical science phenomenon to develop an understanding of how the practices of questioning, modeling, and data analysis support students in building content knowledge. Together teachers will consider places in their curriculum where phenomena and science practices can support students in building content knowledge.
Teachers who attend this course will:
- Develop indicators of student engagement in science practices
- Expand understanding of how science practices support students in building content knowledge that is the target of instruction.
