Why Math and Computer Science

I’ve been absolutely enamored with computer programming ever since I was eight years old, and I’ve always loved math. I am super passionate about making things–art, games, websites–and I want to empower students with new skills and tools that they can use to achieve great things.

Professional Experience

Josh has gained a variety of experiences in math and teaching. While still in high school, he hosted summer technology camps where he taught elementary students how to create games with Scratch. During his senior year, he was a cadet teacher in a third grade classroom, teaching math. During his undergraduate program, Josh taught college algebra to other college students, and he completed his student teaching internship at Holt High School, teaching Algebra I to sophomores. Josh also spent a summer working with 3Blue1Brown, a popular YouTube Channel, creating interactive math articles.

Josh is looking forward to new opportunities teaching math and hopefully computer science.

Hobbies

Josh is very passionate about education-focused computer programming and loves working on these projects in his free time.
