Kaleidoscope AI Statement

At Kaleidoscope: Educator Voices and Perspectives, we believe that teachers’ stories have the power to transform educational outcomes for our students. As our name suggests, we feature the voices and perspectives of educators in each of our articles. To that end, we expect that articles submitted to Kaleidoscope are the original work of each author.

Generative AI can be appropriately used during the writing process; however, the use of any AI tool should not replace the author’s own words and ideas in the article. Authors are required to be transparent about use of any generative AI upon submission. Authors should discuss any use of AI with their peer advisor to determine appropriate ways to use the tool, while maintaining their own voice, vision, and purpose in their article.

No multimedia content, such as photographs, videos, or illustrations, should be produced with generative AI. If you feel you have an exception, please discuss with your peer advisor.

Kaleidoscope editors will use discretion in determining whether the use of AI in an article is too extensive, which may require an author to rewrite all or portions of the article before it is accepted for publication.
