Professional Experience

During summer 2017, Eric participated in the Teaching Experiences for Undergraduates program in Providence, Rhode Island, teaching math to high school students. During summer 2018, he taught sixth-grade math with Uncommon Schools in Boston, Massachusetts, as part of their Summer Teaching Fellowship. During summer 2019, Eric taught summer school at Alliance: Marine Technology with Teach for America in Los Angeles, California. 

Throughout college, Eric served as a mentor with various programs. From 2017–2019, he worked as a teaching assistant for linear algebra classes with various professors, leading weekly mentoring sessions to help with homework, grading, and modifying the course to meet the needs of the students. From 2016–2019, he worked as an individual mentor/tutor at the Quantitative Skills Center, helping students with a variety of college classes.

Eric began teaching at Oscar de la Hoya Animo Charter High School during the 2019–2020 school year.

Volunteer Experience

Eric volunteered as a teaching assistant for Algebra I and II with High Jump in Chicago, Illinois, from 2013–2016. He also volunteered as a teaching assistant for geometry at the Latin School of Chicago.

Hobbies

Eric enjoys going for long runs.
