“I studied math in college with the intention of working in the tech industry, however, I kept tutoring and finding ways to work with students. I decided that I wanted to have more of an impact on young people so I chose to pursue becoming a math teacher instead.”
Sophia worked as a tutor for five years in a variety of contexts, including at various schools and as a private tutor. Additionally, she has taught all levels of math, from middle school to college, as well as SAT and ACT test preparation.
She will begin her first year of teaching at Notre Dame High School during the 2021–2022 school year.
In her spare time, Sophia enjoys cooking and baking. She especially loves recreating Greek recipes that she learned from her family.
