Dave’s Story

Dave Pillsbury is an Algebra and Geometry teacher at Northfield Mount Hermon (NMH), where he focuses on creating positive math experiences for 9th and 10th graders. He joined NMH after working at Suffield Academy and Portsmouth Abbey School. While working at these boarding schools, Dave has also served as an advisor, coach, and been a dorm parent. For the past four years at NMH, Dave has directed their teacher fellowship program with UPENN. The fellowship program is now shifting away from UPENN and being designed to run in-house.

Dave has a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Bates College, and a M.S.T. in Mathematics from the University of New Hampshire. He currently lives on the NMH campus with his wife, Kathleen, and their three daughters.
