Dr. Linda Abrams joined Knowles in June 2016. Prior to joining Knowles, she taught high school social studies for more than 20 years in New Jersey. Linda also served as a department and district supervisor, and most recently, Administrative Supervisor for Innovative Programs, Learning Centers, and Academies for the Freehold Regional High School District.
During her doctoral studies, Linda supported cooperating teachers and supervised pre-service teachers in her work with the Newark-Montclair Urban Teacher Residency and the Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship programs. Additionally, she taught undergraduate and graduate courses in pedagogy and teacher research at Montclair State University.
Linda holds a B.A. in American Studies from Douglass College at Rutgers University, an M.Ed. in social studies education from the Graduate School of Education at Rutgers University, and a Ph.D. in teacher education and teacher development from Montclair State University.
She enjoys traveling, playing golf, attending ballet performances and spending time with her grandchildren. As a member of the Board of Education in Interlaken, N.J., she advocates for all children to have access to ambitious teaching and powerful learning experiences.
